Batteries for self-consumption

Solar batteries for self-consumption in Mallorca

A self-consumption battery stores the energy your solar panels generate during the day and that you do not use at that moment, so you can use it at night instead of buying it from the grid. LiFePO4 lithium technology, managed by a smart BMS.

Why add a battery to your installation

Without a battery, the solar surplus you do not use at the time is fed to the grid in exchange for a credit, usually lower than the price you pay for the energy you consume at night. With a battery, that surplus stays in your home to use once the sun has set.

LiFePO4 technology

We install lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, with more charge cycles and greater thermal stability than other lithium chemistries, managed by a BMS that protects the battery and optimises its service life.

How much capacity do I need

It depends on your night-time consumption and whether you want partial autonomy or almost total coverage. We calculate it with your real consumption data, not a generic table.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a battery if I already have solar panels?

It is not mandatory, but it lets you use at night the energy you generate during the day instead of feeding it to the grid. If your night-time consumption is high, it usually pays off.

What battery technology do you install?

LiFePO4 lithium batteries, with more life cycles and greater thermal safety than other lithium chemistries.

Can I add a battery to an installation I already have?

In most cases yes, as long as the inverter is compatible (the hybrid inverters we install already come ready for this). We check it in the preliminary study.
