Grants for solar panels in the Balearics
There are several aid routes for installing solar panels in the Balearics: tax deductions, the municipal IBI rebate and, depending on the call, direct grant schemes. We explain how each one works.
Income tax deduction
There is a state income tax deduction for works that improve the energy efficiency of homes, applicable to self-consumption installations that reduce non-renewable energy use. The percentage and application period are confirmed each tax season — we give you the updated figure when we process your installation.
IBI rebate

Govern Balear and IDAE aid schemes
Depending on the call, there are direct aid schemes for solar self-consumption and storage managed by the Govern Balear's Energy Directorate, with funds that sometimes come from state or European programmes.
