Differences from a grid-connected installation
An off-grid system cannot feed surplus back to the grid or draw energy from it, so the battery and sizing are more critical: they have to cover your consumption even on consecutive cloudy days. That is why the preliminary consumption study matters even more than for a grid-connected installation.

How many days of autonomy can I have without sun?
It depends on the installed battery capacity and your daily consumption. We size it to your real needs, with a margin for consecutive cloudy days.
Do I need a backup generator?
Not always, but for high consumption or low tolerance to outages we recommend a backup generator that only kicks in during extreme situations.
